How to Refer
We have made the referral process as easy as possible so a Parent/Carer or Professional can complete the Young Person referral form and return to us via email at info@escapeintervention.org.uk. If you are unable to complete this online version, please telephone our office on (0191) 427 6353 and we shall take the details verbally.
We will make contact to arrange an appointment for assessment, which helps us identify the presenting issues and whether we are the appropriate service for your needs. Assessments are usually carried out within 2 weeks of the referral and then clients are placed on our allocation list to receive counselling/psychotherapy. We currently have a waiting list which will be discussed at assessment as this is dependent on where a young person would prefer to be seen, i.e. school or office. For adults there is a shorter waiting time for those who can attend sessions during the day.
Adults can self-refer, or be referred by a professional by completing the Adult Referral Form.
For activities for young people aged 11-18 years living in South Tyneside, we require the Activity Referral form to be completed, together with an Activity Consent form.
